‘SHOULD NEET
AND JEE EXAMS 2020 BE CONDUCTED OR POSTPONED?’ The most controversial topic going
on in India. But, actually ‘they should be conducted or not?’
The Joint
Entrance Exam (JEE –MAINS) and National Eligibility Entrance Exams (NEET) are
to be conducted in the month of September. Formally, they were to be conducted
in month of April and May respectively but due to this pandemic situation they
were postponed and are now to begin from 1st of September 2020.
But, now
about 40% of students are asking to postpone NEET and JEE exams due to the
regular spike in Corona virus cases in India. Many political parties also saw
this topic as a way of winning Bihar elections and started protest against
central government to postpone these exams. But my question is that, ‘it will
be fair to other 60% of students who are willing to give exams?’
The answer is no, it will not be fair to the
other students who are studying day and night to qualify these exams with the
best results.
Suppose,
this situation of pandemic lasts till the end of November or this year then,
what will happen to the student who is tensed about the conduction of the
respective papers and what if this situation of postponement led him to fall depressed,
who will be responsible for that? Also the career of the students will be on
delay with the regular postponement of exams.
The student’s
club which are asking for postponement if these exams are the students who
haven’t prepared themselves for exams .These are those students who want
reduction in the courses of these exams or want more time to prepare for the
exams. In some conditions parents are also not allowing students to give the
exams because of increasing cases or he has to travel to his centre city via
trains or buses in which the risks of getting infected are much higher.
The students
who are asking to postpone the exams are those students who are roaming in the
city freely without mask, eating outside food and wants government to open gyms,
restraunt, theatres etc. One on hand they want government to open all the
public places because they will be more safe there instead they will get
infected in writing the exams in centres which be fully sanitized and all
precautions have already been taken. I don’t understand this hypocrite behaviour
of students.
Also think
of those students who have prepared himself mentally and physically to give the
exams. He / She preparing hard for exams and shifting these exams will result
academic loss for that student.
The
government has also assured parents and students that they have taken various
steps to prevent their students from getting infected.
The various steps are;
- The central government has provided
helpline no’s to student to solve their queries related about safety of
students or any other query related to travelling and all.
- The central government has asked NTA
to sanitize their exams centres.
- The students will be sanitized upon
their arrivals
- Social Distancing will be followed
- Mask will be provided to each and
every student
- Separate isolated rooms are provided
for the infectious student
- Bringing of own water bottle and sanitizers are compulsory etc..
SO THESE ARE THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHICH
WILL BE FOLLOWED AT EACH EXAM CENTERS.
So, exams should
be conducted for the welfare of student and his career. There is no need to
worry as central government is assuring each and every parent.
SO BEST OF
LUCK! TO EACH AND EVERY JEE AND NEET ASPIRANTS.
THANK YOU
